Fencing Companion SAS (hereinafter referred to as “we“, “our“, or the “Publisher“) is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data.

ARTICLE 2 – NON-RETENTION PRINCIPLE AND DATA MODEL
2.1. No In-App Account Required: Basic use of the Application does not require registration or account creation with Fencing Companion SAS.
2.2. Technical Gateway Role: Fencing Companion SAS does not store, sell, analyze, or commercialize any personal data (such as names or sports statistics) on its own servers. The Application operates strictly as a local technical gateway between your Android device, and the partner platform Escriméo.
ARTICLE 3 – PROCESSED DATA AND PURPOSES
When operating the Application, the following data may be processed locally in temporary memory (RAM) or transmitted directly to partner services:

ARTICLE 4 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICE INTEGRATION (ESCRIMÉO)
- When you choose to connect your third-party account from https://www.escrimeo.com/, the Application retrieves your profile details (first and last name) and can transmits your match data to this service as requested.
- These processing activities are governed by the dedicated privacy policy and terms of service of the Escriméo platform. Fencing Companion SAS cannot be held responsible for the data processing performed by this third-party service.
ARTICLE 5 – REQUIRED DEVICE PERMISSIONS (ANDROID)
To function properly, the Application requests specific system permissions:
- Bluetooth / Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE): Required to scan, connect, and communicate in real time with the connected fencing apparatus.
- Location (depending on Android version): On certain Android versions, location permission is technically required by the operating system to perform Bluetooth device scans nearby. The Application does not record, track, or transmit any physical geolocation data.
- Internet Access: Required solely for direct communication with Escriméo servers when the user logs into their partner account.
ARTICLE 6 – COOKIES, TRACKERS, AND ADVERTISING
- The Application contains no third-party ad trackers, profiling tools, or advertising networks.
- No persistent cookies are placed on your device for marketing or tracking purposes.
ARTICLE 7 – DATA RETENTION
Because Fencing Companion SAS operates no centralized database storing your matches or identity details, all data processed during use remains temporary and local to your device session.
For data synchronized with your Escriméo account, the retention period is governed by Escriméo’s terms and privacy policies.
ARTICLE 8 – YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)
In accordance with European regulations (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), you have rights regarding your personal data (access, rectification, erasure, and restriction):
- For data related to your Escriméo account: These rights must be exercised directly with the publisher of the Escriméo platform.
